Armed Forces Covenant: Local Grant has enabled a new partnership to be developed between MCVC and RUCST who secured the grant.
The Friends Together project is intended to build links between the military community and the wider community through activities and events that create opportunities for people to meet and interact. A number of activities will be delivered to promote health and wellbeing, and community integration through culture, art and sport such as seated exercise, bocce and kurling, walking groups, Chinese and Indian craft sessions, away days and cultural diversity event.
We will be working together to increase social cohesion by bringing armed forces community together with other diverse communities through activities that build positive relationships, improve physical, emotional and social wellbeing and combat isolation and loneliness often faced by veterans and their families
