Walking Wounded

Dear Michael, we hope you are beginning to get into the Christmas spirit and enjoying the build up to the big day.  Scroll down to hear a remarkable story of one of the veterans we have supported this year, get an update on our bigger-than-ever Christmas appeal and also how to take advantage of getting 10% off your very own Tommy.
Simon’s story
Simon served in the RAF Force Protection Force in Afghanistan, but it wasn’t until 12 years later that he realised he needed to put his own hand up for support. This year, Simon is taking part in Walking Home For Christmas for the fourth year running, but it will be his first year as a beneficiary of the charity.

WOW! To the 2,377 of you that have signed up to walk this winter, THANK YOU! Already, your support means that…

609 veterans could attend a one-day employment course, or…

304 veterans could get help in starting up their own, sustainable business, or…

135 veterans could receive a course of 12 mental health therapy sessions.

By working together, we’re already making a huge difference, and it’s not too late to get involved.  In fact you are still able to sign up until 2pm on Tuesday 18th December.  It’s simple and FREE to register, and all we ask is that you wear your Santa hat with a smile, call on your friends to sponsor you, and go for a walk!
