Friday the 10th May was the first training session for the veterans who will become the volunteers for the outreach project. Subjects covered were outreach procedures, H&S, Safeguarding and practically setting up the vehicle and trailer, amongst many other subjects. The volunteers are key to the success of the project and they are all eager to start attending events throughout South Yorkshire and engaging with veterans and their families.
A big thank you to the volunteers who attended and took part in the training but also to Andrew Ball (MCVC Trustee) for supporting the training. If you see the vehicle and volunteers at events come across and say hello, they will be happy to explain their role and the aims of the project.
