VETERAN OF 22 YEARS SERVICE PASSES WITH NO FAMILY AND ONLY A FEW FRIENDS TO ATTEND HIS FUNERAL

We have just been approached asking for our help to spread the word amongst the Military Community about the funeral of Geoff Butler aged 75 years, which is taking place at Rotherham Crematorium this coming Friday 1st December at 1.30pm. Geoff served for 22 years in the Army (Tank Regiment we believe) and at this moment he will be going to meet his maker with only a handful of friends to bid him farewell. There are no family members attending his funeral and the only two 2 relatives we are aware of live in Spain, hence the reason we are calling on the support and compassion of the Military Community to join us in saying farewell to Geoff in a manner befitting a member of our service family and a veteran who served his Country for nearly a third of his life.

We are told that Geoff was very proud of his military service, as are we and it is only right that he should receive the recognition for his service.
