Plight of homeless veterans is laid bare at Rotherham centre talk

Military veterans in South Yorkshire have been given a presentation about what help is on offer for people who are homeless after leaving the forces.

Rotherham Military Veterans Community Centre hosted a visit by Kevin Hartley, who works for the Regular Forces Employment Association.

He spoke about the work he is involved with through the Help 4 Homeless Veterans charity, which offers support to former troops living on the streets.

Steve Bentham-Bates, life vice president of the Rotherham centre, said: “The Rotherham Veterans were so impressed with the work Kevin and his colleagues are doing that they donated £100 to the charity.”
