MCVC Chairman Stands Down.

MCVC Chairman, Mr Mac McKenney (L) with President, Maj Adie Hunt and Sarah Champion MP

After considerable thought and deliberation our Chairman Mac McKenney has decided it is an appropriate time to stand down.  The executive recognise this  decision will not have been taken lightly, and reluctantly support Mac at this testing time.

Mac has been a loyal, dedicated and enthusiastic chairman and has given a significant amount of his time to moving the MCVC forward, spreading our reputation far and wide.  You will all join me in offering our most grateful thanks to Mac for his service, advice and support.  His contribution has been nothing short of remarkable!

We look forward to Mac joining us at the Drop in or breakfast club as and whenever he is able.

The message from Mac is below for those who have not previously had the chance to read it

Hi All
After nearly three years in the hot seat and a change in both personal circumstances and priorities, the time has come for me to stand down from the position of Chair of the MCVC, effective immediately.  With the majority of my responsibilities having now been handed over to other members of the Executive Committee it just remains for me to say a massive thank you to everyone (both internal and external) who has supported me and more importantly the MCVC over the last three years, It has been appreciated and I couldn’t have done it without you.  In particular I need to say a huge thank you to our President – Major Adie Hunt and our Executive Committee Members Lt Col Mac McPherson and Christine Bradley for their support throughout, again very much appreciated.
I have no doubt that whoever takes up the post will continue to move the MCVC forward onto bigger and better things and I wish both them and the MCVC every success for the future.
My MCVC email address will remain live for a short period of time while I see through to completion a couple of projects that I have been working on, thereafter it will close.
I look forward to seeing you all on the other side of the fence as and when time permits.
Kind regards
Mac2

The MCVC Executive will circulate more information on the formal recognition of Mac’s contribution, and the steps in hand to re shape to Executive board shortly.
