MCVC Queens Award for Voluntary Service (QAVS) Wortley Hall 16 July 2022
In recognition of receiving the “Queens Awarded for Voluntary Service” the High Sheriff of South Yorkshire Lt Col RA McPherson MBE kindly invited Rotherham MCVC to his Garden Party at Wortley Hall Saturday 16 July 2022. A perfect setting in the presence of HM Lord-Lieutenant of South Yorkshire, Dame Hilary Chapman, BDE FRCN.
The award being made in the year of HM Platinum Jubilee and 10th anniversary for MCVC. The award on behalf of MCVC was accepted by Mrs Emma McKenzie & Mr Bill Carroll.
A truly magnificent day, they say the sun shines on the righteous and it shone that day. Wortley Hall and the Yorkshire country side bathed in sunshine.
Musical interludes throughout the day from The City of Sheffield Pipe Band & Thorpe Hesley Brass Band. Both organisations providing a varied program of music throughout the afternoon. Thankyou.
Recognition also to Ms Vicky Hartley on receipt of a High Sheriffs Award for service to Veterans and Mr David Hilton on receipt of his RFEA Long Service Award.
