Last year Greg Artell pictured here with his Grandson Charlie Cook, came to MCVC Fridays coffee morning to ask for a donation to help fund South Yorkshire School Cricket Association go on a cricket tour of Sri Lanka. MCVC were pleased to donate £50. At yesterdays coffee morning they both came to shown us photographs and a cricket bat and shirt, and share some fantastic memories of the trip and to thank MCVC once again for the donation. Having spoken with Charlie it sounds like he is one to watch for the future as he hopes to play for Yorkshire County Cricket Club one day. Well we wish him all the luck in the world Good luck Charlie from all at MCVC, and I could tell from talking to Greg he is one very proud Granddad ….. and rightly so.
