THE TOMMIES OUTSIDE TOWN HALL

The poignant silhouettes of two 6ft Tommies, which represent 100 years since the end of the First World War, will keep watch over this year’s acts of Remembrance in Rotherham.

The Tommies are part of a nationwide campaign called There, But Not There, and will be on view at the Town Hall (situated either side of the cannon) from this Thursday.  There will be a photo opportunity with the Mayor of Rotherham, Cllr Alan Buckley who will be with the Tommies at 11.30am on Thursday, 8th November.
Ian Jones Armed Forces Champion had a good time this morning with the Mayor and Mayoress of Rotherham opening the new ” there but not there” art project outside the town hall.
