Message: Good Afternoon,
Tom here, Marketing and Communications Officer at Cast in Doncaster. Lovely to e-meet you!
I’m emailing to let you know of an upcoming show which I think may be of real interest to members of the Armed Forces community.
Award-winning Vamos Theatre, the UK’s leading full mask theatre company, is bringing its new production A Brave Face to Cast on Tuesday 15 and Wednesday 16 May at 7.30pm. The production is suitable for audiences aged 12 years up and accessible to hearing and d/Deaf audiences alike.
Here’s a short summary of the show:
A Brave Face tells the story of Ryan, serving in Afghanistan in 2009. He’s there to see the world, learn a trade, get a life. Training is complete, combat is a buzz; he’s part
of a team, and knows his job. But on one particular hot and desperate tour of duty, Ryan sees things he can’t talk about, to anyone. And then, when he returns home, the trouble really begins.
More info on the show, including a trailer and production shots can be found here: https://www.castindoncaster.com/Event/a-brave-face.
For over two years, Vamos Theatre has collaborated with Veterans, serving personnel, military families and health professionals to create A Brave Face. The result is an honest and hugely compelling piece of theatre inspired by the hidden stories and personal journeys of those affected by and connected with Post Traumatic Stress. Sometimes raw, often funny, always compassionate, A Brave Face explores life in the military, the impact PTS can have on even the closest of families, and the slow but steady search for hope.
You can book your tickets via our Box Office on: 01302 303 959 or online at: castindoncaster.com. We also have a £10 Armed Forces ticket offer available for the show.
If you have any questions about the show, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Very best wishes,
