Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of South Yorkshire to Visit MCVC ‘Drop In’ At Silverwood Miners Welfare Club on Friday 3rd March 2017

Are you a serving or ex service member of the armed forces? Are you a dependent of someone that is serving or has served in the armed forces? Do you work for an organisation that supports or has links with the armed forces?

If the answer is yes to any of the above and you have a couple of hours to spare on Friday morning then why not come along and meet with like-minded colleagues in a relaxed setting at the MCVC ‘Drop In’ Centre in Rotherham, with free tea, coffee, biscuits and a finger buffet?

You can find us this coming Friday ‘3rd March 2017’ at ‘Silverwood Miners Club, Doncaster Road, Rotherham S65 3ET (10am – midday).

This week we are honoured to welcome Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of South Yorkshire, Mr Andrew Coombe who in addition to meeting our veteran community will be presenting one of our members with his South Atlantic Medal, a retrospective award brought about following a recent (2015) MOD Review of the criteria and rules covering a wide range of post WW II campaign awards.

Access to the club is via the car park to the rear of the club where there is plenty of free parking, and for those travelling by bus the bus stop is right outside the club. Anyone from the military community (serving, ex service, dependents) and supporting agencies are more than welcome to attend. Banter, sandbags, bollards, refreshments and a good time guaranteed.
