Over the past few years the MCVC has made a lot of friends at Voluntary Action Rotherham (VAR), so it is with sadness that I have to announce that as a result of the continual growth in attendance figures at the Friday ‘Drop In’ we have reached a point whereby we have outgrown the facility made available to us at VAR and it is now time to move on to the next chapter in the MCVC’s history.
Consequently this coming Friday 30th September 2016 (10am to midday) will be the last Rotherham MCVC ‘Drop In’ at Voluntary Action Rotherham, The Spectrum, Coke Hill, Rotherham S60 2HX.
Also this Friday we will be taking the opportunity to welcome Nicola Evans into the group. Nicola has kindly offered to manage our numerous Facebook Pages, the MCVC Twitter account, the News and Events columns on the MCVC Website and to maximise the advertising potential of the MCVC, all of which we are extremely grateful for.
So, if you are serving or an ex service member of the armed forces, a dependent of someone that is serving or has served in the armed forces, work for an organisation that supports or has links with the armed forces, then why not come along and meet with like minded colleagues in the relaxed setting of the MCVC ‘Drop In’, with free tea, coffee, biscuits and because this is the last ‘Drop In’ to be held at VAR there might even some cake to tempt you with. Come along and help us leave VAR in style. Banter, sandbags, bollards, refreshments and a good time guaranteed.
But fear not, because from next Friday 7th October we have a new venue for you ‘Silverwood Miners Welfare & Resource Centre, Doncaster Road, Dalton, Rotherham S65 3ET, with ample on-site free parking and for those that do not drive there is a bus stop right outside the front door.
