BRITISH FORCES BROADCASTING SERVICE (BFBS)

Good afternoon Ladies and Gents/fellow admins,
Firstly:
British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS, with whom you will all be familiar), have offered us a HUGE opportunity to let our serving girls and boys know we are here for them when they leave the military.
They have asked for contact details for members of Armed Forces & Veterans Breakfast Clubs to participate in one of their most popular programs with the Armed Forces, the ‘Hatch & Geere Breakfast Show’.  Every Wednesday, they would like a club (one or more members – it would be great if we could get a few people together!) to try and get into ‘the hall of fame’ with a frankly ‘easy’ quiz, but before that, the participants get to talk about their clubs, what they mean to them, about characters who attend, and give them an enormous plug.
I have been posting this on the AFVBC Support page, asking it to be shared to clubs, but with limited success, so I would like to ask you all personally, to pleasepost the picture below, with the following text (or your own text if you wish; entirely up to you) so that we can continue to end the isolation of veterans and service leavers, which is the single biggest killer of our brothers and sisters in arms, and one of the main reasons we exist in the first place!
“Any members who would like to participate in one of their most popular programs with the Armed Forces, the ‘Hatch & Geere Breakfast Show’ on BFBS, could you please contact Richard Massey, the National Organiser either through FB or email him at natorgafvbc@gmail.com.

Secondly:
This years’ National Armed Forces Day event is being held in Llandudno on Friday 29th June – Sunday 1st July inclusive.  I have applied for a pitch, and myself and a couple of members from Hull will be staffing it as we have for the last two years (Cleethorpes in 2016, and Liverpool in 2017), and we will be setting up the new ‘event shelter’.
We hope this will draw quite a bit of attention, even perhaps the Prime Minister and/or the Veterans Minister, and I have invited local clubs to join us in staffing the event (which is normally a brilliant laugh anyway).  Could I ask you all to please publicise this in your groups, and if anyone from any Breakfast Club, anywhere in the country, or from abroad, would like to join us, then they would be very welcome.
This shelter was financed by our club club here in Hull (therefore currently belongs to our club), but we are happy to lend it out, free of charge, to clubs around the country, for their own events, and we have plenty of HGV drivers around the country, who are members, to get it around (we are actually doing this shortly).
The aim of the CIC, and Royalties from the logo, is to reimburse our club for the cost of the shelter, and perhaps invest in more such promotional equipment, so clubs don’t have to pay for it.
For the moment, if you could share both these items to your clubs, I’d be very grateful.
Thank you all very much for your support

Best regards,
